2012

(I don't always have brownies in my bag, but when I do, don't worry I put them in a Glad bag or Tupperware container.)

Well, to prepare for the new year I got myself a planner, because I never seem to be in good terms
with keeping things up to date with the use of technology. Alarms work sometimes but I prefer writing
things down, you know?

And I've been spending my time reading a lot too. I've missed it so much, can't believe I let myself
stress over school to even neglect picking up a book and traveling to a world inside my head.

I almost forgot how liberating it felt.

I love Max so much. So thankful we adopted him sometime in May.
He's such a big boy now, but he's still our little baby Max!!!

Also super thankful for this cat. Haha. Can't believe he stuck around after all this while, after what I
did and after all that happened. He's a real sweetheart.

30th January: Amrien and his friends made a DIY barbecue birthday celebration at the bowl in Bedok.
Had such a great time because everything was all chilled out and... punk rock. Ha!

31st December 2012 - 1st January 2013

Spent the countdown with Amrien and the BDK boys and some of their girlfriends! Bumped into so
many people, I think. Had plenty of fun high-fiving random drunk strangers. Quite glad I didn't get wasted.

Something really cool happened too. This guy from Poland named Philip was walking around and the
boys got to high-five and we talked to him for a bit. He walked away but then he returned and came up
to me asking me where my "man" was. I told Amrien to come over and he held up a ribbon and said he
wanted to show us a magic trick.

He put our hands together, our fingers intertwined and tied our wrists together. He told us that the both
of us had to try to untie it, and whoever does it first, gets to kiss the other. We were like, "okay that's simple."

Then he went on to say, "Yes it is. But remember, this ribbon, this bond, signifies a love so strong that
can never be broken. You (he looks and gestures to me) will have to take care of him and love him
and stay, and you (he looks and gestures to Amrien) will have to do the same and always protect her.
I wish you two the best, and have a great new year."

He just walked away.

Amrien and I were dazed, pretty confused at what really just happened.
It was quite surreal and we just kept looking at the ribbon tied on our wrists.
In the end we untied it together and kissed each other at the same time and continued what we were doing.

Kept the ribbon, I'll never forget that.

2013

Part of my attempt to lose some "holiday baggage"!!!
A simple cutback on junk/processed food.

Second day of the year and I had to visit the clinic for something... Glad Amrien was there though!

Turkey ham, smoked salmon, scrambled eggs sprinkled with thyme and gluten-free chilli lime tortilla chips on the side.

Amrien came over one morning and I made breakfast for us!
Scrambled eggs, cheesy chicken franks, mexican drumlets and the same gluten free tortilla chips!
Amrien's a HUGE chicken lover.

Snacks like these are always good so I don't get hunger pangs that make me eat more than I should.

Also, just recently got another one!

Got it back (sort of).
(:
